Usually, the Less than Truck Load shipment mode can be the most preferable for the small freight. LTL is preferable for the consignee's goods when there is more room for another unit of freight in a truck. This could work out cheaper than LTL's counterpart Full Truck Load shipment mode.

This type of shipment mode gets cheaper in other ways, like the price for the transportation is broke down per-weight per mile.
